Image
Is Putin’s key ally ill? Is Putin's key ally in the Ukraine war seriously ill? Beloatian President Alexander Lukashenko missed an annual ceremony where young people swear allegiance to the flag and instead his prime minister shared a message from him. In fact, he's not been seen in public since the 9th of May, Victory Day in Russia, where he skipped a state lunch with Putin. Reports pointed out how tired he looked, and this bandage on his right hand. Allies from former Soviet countries walked to lay flowers, but it seemed that Lukashenko needed a lift. This has sparked speculation about what's happened to him. Some say he's in hospital just outside the capital, Minsk. But state media has responded with a photo of him at a military base. Image
Press conference: O'Neil on Lerma fitness, team spirit and Liverpool's attacking threat Afternoon Gary. Hi Mark. Obviously last week was a real blow for you and the lads and the club having played so well at times at the Emirates. How much of a psychological coaching session have you had to do with the lads to pick them up? Because conceding in that manner, in that style, when there was so much at stake, clearly the lads would have been disappointed. Have you had to kind of lift them in a psychological way? I think the moment in the dressing room right after it was the toughest aspect. So speaking to the group about how I felt about the game at that moment, understanding where they were emotionally from that. But moving past that this week has just gone back to Liverpool coming. So from Monday the lads were ready to work, ready to go. So there was absolutely no hangover what...

Image
NHS Data: Government misses target of eliminating 18-month waits for routine treatment in England The government and NHS leaders have made it a top priority to cut elective care waiting times. But today's numbers paint a mixed picture. Despite prioritising the service, overall waiting lists have reached a new record of 7.33 million. That's up 110,000, the biggest month-on-month increase since August last year. A key NHS target was to eliminate 18-month waits by April. That has been missed, but they are getting close. In September 2021, there were almost 125,000 patients waiting a year and a half. That is now down to almost 10,000. Half of those remaining are at just 10 NHS trusts. The NHS says part of the reason for missing targets is the unprecedented industrial action seen over the past six months. We've had to reschedule around 500,000 appointments over the period of ...
