‘I’m ready to get the show on the road’: Eurovision ‘Big 6’ contestants ahead of final
Do you know what? I'm feeling, I just feel very, very honoured to be here and you know, representing my country is. It's a huge, huge deal, but I feel like everything that could put pressure on me that I could kind of freak out about is actually really, really amazing. Like the fact that Sam Ryder did so well last year, the fact that we're hosting on behalf of Ukraine, the fact that you know, I'm going last in the show, you know, things that I could get a bit freaked out about, but when I really look at what they are, it's like they're all really beautiful, amazing experiences, so I'm going to look at it in a positive way and it's really, really exciting and I'm ready to get the show on the road. I'm not going to lie. Lovely. Thank you. I honestly, I don't have any words, like I said, it's been such a huge honour to see like just as many Ukrainian flags in the streets as British flags, it just fills me with so much joy and it's an honour to sit next to you guys and be doing this with you and I think this is what Eurovision is about.
It's literally proof that us as human beings can come together and you know, there's, we can support each other, you know, and yeah, it's really, really feels like a very, very special year and no matter what the outcome is, you know, tomorrow night, I will look back at this moment as such a, with such a sense of pride, you know, so yeah, it feels really, really, really good. Yes, of course, I mean like coming last is not nice, but the thing is we cannot foresee how it would really feel like if that happens. So, so far we're really just looking forward to yeah, ending this amazing experience which so far is so full of love and joy and it's so much fun and we're being so welcomed the way we are. We've never been like the typical metal band or the typical golf band. We've always been somewhere in between and being so welcomed here, that's the experience and yeah, it might destroy something inside you if you come last, but we cannot know. So why put that pressure? I want to say that since we arrived to Liverpool Lord Mayor met us in the airport. There was a lot of people who said a lot of warm words and there were even the people who were dancing in sign language and not dancing, but singing in sign language, the national anthem.
So that was very great and we want to say huge thanks for the United Kingdom for hosting it and also by the way to hotel we saw a lot of flags, a lot of different installations like singing birds of solo wake or Beatles in Meshawanka, that was looking very impressive. So and a lot of more, a lot of more like Eurovision Village. We didn't you know met them physically because we had Thai schedule, but we definitely will check it out later. So what is missing here? I think the UK did a great job on you know taking a bit of Ukraine here. So we want to say a huge thing for this, but what is missing? I even don't know maybe the people because in Ukraine, you know, we might see all our people. Maybe that's it and Ukrainian air. I think the first part is perfect for me because I think my energy is very powerful, you know and yes cuanto antes lo haga, antes voy a disfrutar de todos mis compañeros.
So as soon as I do it, as soon as I can do it, then I'm going to enjoy being around all of my colleagues, my friends here at Eurovision.
