It's been reported that Britney Spears has split with her husband, Sam Asgari. The couple met in 2016 and had been together through the court cases that saw Britney free herself from her conservatorship.


The controversial legal measure saw Britney unable to control her own financial and personal affairs for over 13 years. It was put in place in 2008 at the request of her father, Jamie Spears, while Britney was said to be struggling with her mental health. The conservatorship was finally lifted by a judge in 2021. Iranian-born actor and model, Sam Asgari, was outspoken in his support of Britney Spears throughout the case and even posted a picture of himself wearing a free Britney t-shirt on Instagram. Towards the end of the court battle, Britney and Sam announced their engagement and the two got married in June 2022.

But now US media are reporting that the two have split, although neither of them have yet made any official announcements or comments.
