The influx of asylum seekers has strained front-line resources and necessitated urgent action. Home Secretary Sweller-Braverman emphasized that this decision is not a reflection of poor relations with the affected countries but is purely focused on safeguarding border security and regulating migration effectively. In a bid to provide some leeway, individuals from the five countries with confirmed bookings will be allowed to travel to the UK without visas for the next month. After this grace period, the new visa requirements will be strictly enforced.
