EXTENDED HIGHLIGHTS | Huddersfield Town 0-4 Coventry City
Now, Warnock believes what is filled needs 17 points from their final 14 games to stay up. The Terriers are still in deep trouble with the championship relegations, so it's 7 points for safety for today's visitors from commentary. They've done most of their win in this season at home, though. They've got six of their eight victories in the Junior Smith Stadium, with a little bit too much defeat at Birmingham two weeks ago. Warnock makes four changes from a four-year period to Burnley, and now for the skinny, but they've got a little bit more concerns. The Sky Blues being one of the still-ying, a playoff place, with just five points separating them at the top six. Fankati Dolbo is three changes from their linear draw at Preston.
Oxford trying to engineer the space here to get across into the box. They're closed down well, and the commentary have done well to keep the ball in. Play on that far side as well through Callum Doyle. Can they now counter-attack? Well, there's a chance for Yocores to break onto this. The defender will get there first, but that's a terrible back pass, and Yocores is through, and Yocores, as he so often does, completes the goal. Terrible defending. It's really gifted to him, but he won't care whatsoever, because Victor Yocores has got his 16th lead goal of the season.
The commentary, they're into a 31st-minute lead. It's out of absolutely nothing, is it? Hellic, with a terrible back pass, they're nowhere near the goalkeeper. Yocores just pounced on it. Still had a lot to do, though, and the finish is beautiful. They're lightly clipped home. They're brought away to send the away fans delirious. Huddersfield have it all to do.
They're going away again, but there's another turnover. Chance now. Huddersfield to break forward. Trying to find space on that far side for the cross. This time it's there, and it's a decent ball into the box, and a chance from distance. Yocores gets down to it. Scott High with the effort.
He did really well to dig the cross out here, and particularly well defended, chested down, and a drive for the confidence save. Play by Diora, though. Encouraging sides. FANS SHOUT It's a good throw. It's up for the ball, ever. Once more, the turnover comes. A shot from distance, well, pretty far in the end.
A little deflection. Showing some positive signs, it's coming on, though. FANS SHOUT Decent delivery into the middle, it's an acrobatic happen. It's going to fall to High again. Ever so slightly up target. Chuitously fell his way. Couldn't quite get his radar right on that occasion.
Just drifting wide. FANS SHOUT Who knows? FANS SHOUT FANS SHOUT He went for the off-load. He's going to get a bat now as well. Into the area, he goes. And as easy as that, the lead has been doubled. Quite what the Huddersfield defence were doing, just standing and watching, I'm not so sure. The commentary have doubled their lead within 10 minutes of the restart.
Hamer playing the quick one, too, and then firing the ball past the keeper, who will feel he should have done better at his near post. FANS SHOUT It's a 14th commentary goal for Gustavo Hamer. His last also came against Huddersfield when these two teams met in January. They hope for similar results as that day. commentary 1-2-0. They have opened the ball down the line. I just feel just wanting it back, again, it's given away, and Hamer slides it into Yocores, and Yocores is through on goal.
And there's the third. And just look at what it means to those fans behind the goal as well. 59 minutes on the clock, and within four second-half minutes, commentary's lead has soared from one to three goals. And those Huddersfield fans are streaming for the exit. It's a lovely through ball. Yocores confidently finishes again, to level his tally of 18 goals from last season. I've got to say, the ball was given away cheaply, but from there it was incisive, and it was quick, and it was job done.
commentary, absolutely flying, Huddersfield, who are in all kinds of trouble. Woo! Can Huddersfield muster any kind of response? Can Neil Warlock get anything out of this side? At the moment, they're heading for another heavy defeat, having lost 4-0 to Burnley last time out. We're hoping to inflict more damage. Here's Yocores again, eyeing that hat-trick. Good defensive lunge, preventing him from getting there. Can Wunna suddenly move? Just break the such pace. It's like the hook and falls on that occasion.
They're looking reverse pass. Yocores get back into it. They've got a better concept there. Huddersfield actually won at home in the league against Coventry. It's a launch in 1971, not came at the old Leeds road ground. It's not going to be changing today. You might find a consolation here, though.
Wilson tipping over the bar. A comfortable save from the Bones effort. Dennis Diara, crossing a few problems down that right-wick. Gassi did it in the first half. Don't know what the shift onto his right foot. Diara skips past a couple of tackles, and this might break nicely now for a chance once more. Roads again.
Cross is heading clear. Doni. Shot is blocked away. Counter-Coventry now. Counter-attack quickly. The referee just getting in the way of Field there. There's Paddockers.
Yocores is going to get on the end of this long ball. Will he get another chance to get that hat trick? The angle's gone now, but the cross comes in. And there is the fourth. And it's Tyler Walker who puts the icing on the cake for Coventry. Three minutes into added time. He makes it 4-0. Substitute with his first Coventry goal since October 2021.
Tell you what, he won't score many easier than that. All the good work done by Victor Yocores before he completed the job. Again, it comes from a long ball. Brilliant hold up play by Yocores. He just leaned on his man, turned into position he wanted to be. Will pick it up that cross. Walker could tap home.
Coventry in absolute dreamland, but puttersfield has think-stand. Going to be dropping to the bottom of the championship. Just not in position you want to be in. And there goes the final whistle. Not a good afternoon for Neil Warnock. Buttersfields. Both form continues their 7 points from safety now.
Sixth to beat in 10 for them, but for Coventry. Biggest to wave in the second tier of English football since April 2008, a 4-0 demolition job here. Dream have returned to the Premier League for the first time in over 20 years. It's remained 12 and truly off. Victor Yocores doing a lot of the damage and a real team effort as well. Buttersfield, Neil, Coventry 4.
